Our friend and supporter Tom LaLiberte is offering a challenge grant of up to $10,000 to support the invaluable work of Guide Dogs of the Desert. With his generosity, he now brings the challenge to our community to match his gift.
Guide Dogs bring independence, companionship, and enhanced mobility to people who are blind and visually impaired. These life-changing partnerships are made possible by the generosity and contributions of our supporters.
National Guide Dog Month was first inspired 15 years ago by Palm Springs resident Dick Van Patten, who was impressed by the intelligence and training of Guide Dogs. During the month, we celebrate, commemorate, and recognize Guide Dog teams and the extensive journey involved in creating these partnerships.
